Torque started its engine in 1990 and quickly powered its way to pole position in Singapore's motoring media circuit, where many have competed but few have lasted.

Twenty-five years later, the magazine continues to set the pace with its sleek design, readability and local relevance. The articles are written by a team of motoring journalists with more than 100 years of collective experience.

It is the most widely read motoring monthly in the country, according to the Nielsen Media Index 2014.

And it has won several industry accolades, including the Media Publishers Association Singapore's Special Interest Media of the Year 2014.

Having crossed the quarter-century milestone, Torque's ongoing journey as Singapore's authority on all things automotive shall proceed apace - in print, digital, online and on the road.

Ms Pang Lee Cheng, general manager of SPH Magazines (Men's & Special Interest), says: "Torque has a great 25-year history, but the title's future promises to be even greater. Thanks to our readers and business partners, Torque will continue to deliver superior mileage and Singaporean-style editorial excellence for more decades to come."

Torque editor David Ting adds: "This 25-year-old magazine is the same age as the vehicle quota system, but readers don't need a COE to get a new copy of Torque - print or digital - and be co-drivers with the Torque team as we explore the world of cars together.

"It's a wonderful world of driving excitement, automotive knowledge and vehicular culture. In tune with our 25th anniversary and starting with our 2015 June issue, we have turbocharged the design, content and reach of the magazine to make it even more enjoyable and engaging."
