ADVANCED LUBES
Motul’s range of fully synthetic lubricants promises to give your engine the protection it needs every day. The 300V Competition 15W-50 (left) and 300V Power 5W-40 (right) are suitable for high-performance motors, while the H-Tech 100 Plus 0W-20 (centre) is formulated for better fuel economy.

PRECISE SHIFTS
Improve your manual gearbox’s shift feel while protecting its components with Gear 300, Motul’s fully synthetic transmission fluid. It also helps reduce transmission noise.

FROSTIER RUNNING
Increase the efficiency of your car’s cooling system with the Mo Cool radiator additive from Motul. It has been tested to reduce coolant temperature by up to 15 degrees.

Shorter STOPPING
Motul’s Racing Brake Fluid 660 has a Dot 4 rating, which means it’s formulated to withstand the extreme heat generated by advanced carbon ceramic brakes.

WE ASK KATSUYA ARAI, DIRECTOR AT MOTUL ABOUT ENGINE lubricants

Q1. Why is engine oil important?
Engine oil is the “lifeblood” of your car’s engine. It reduces friction between moving parts and removes dirt from metal surfaces, which all works to prolong your car motor’s life.

Q2. What makes synthetic oil better than mineral oil?
Based on the same viscosity grade, synthetic oils are superior in their oil film forming capability and are more resistant to heat and oxidation.

Q3. Are “thicker” oils better than “thinner” ones?
Thicker oils offer more protection against engine wear, but they also cause more power loss because of their higher viscosity. The engine must overcome this to work properly.

Q4. How can drivers determine which engine oil
to use?
Read the owner’s manual to determine the viscosity grade and its API performance rating. The new API SN ratings meet the former API requirements.

Q5. What makes Motul oils better than those from other brands?
Motul has been recognised for more than 150 years for its product quality. We were also the first manufacturer to offer fully synthetic oils.
